The Crescent was made in a collaborative effort between Jappiebalisong and Ivy (Ivyilv) It won the Create With Nabalis 2025 design competition and has since been refined and produced by Nabalis,
the Crescent's design grew from a simple idea: to create the knife we personally wished existed on the market. The entire process centered around a minimalistic design language—clean, intentional, and focused on delivering a light and responsive flipping experience. We aimed to make a bali that not only looked premium but remained affordable within its price range.
A shorter form factor, chamfered handles, and a Japanese-inspired tanto blade formed the core of the concept. We wanted something both of us would genuinely buy ourselves: a good-looking, classic G10 balisong that fills a missing spot in the market—cheap, practical, yet still visually striking. Every choice in the design was refined to achieve that balance.
